The following are some thoughts from our class on what
respect means to them.
- You are showing Courage when you tell someone even if they
said I will punch you if you tell.
Beth Bioxler
- Respect is a way of showing people that you care about them.
It's like if you have a teacher you wouldn't just say
something, when the teachers are there you would respect
her and raise your hand. If you have a new person in your
class you would try to help her or him fit in and
respect them. Just like the President respected his visitors.
Anne Lidian
- One time when I was at my Grandma's house, she was sick
and she told me I had to do all the chores. I didn't
yell, I didn't argue, I just went to work.
T. Jonson
- When I was 7 and in second grade I was always respectful
and used good manners. I always did respectful things
for the teacher like giving her an apple and opening
the door for her.
Bill Stoudamire
- Respect is when you do what your parents or your teacher
tells you. Respect is doing what you are told and not
arguing. For example, yesterday my Grandma told me to
clean my rabbits cage and let the rabbits run. So I
did not argue and did it.
Jordan Belly
- I respect my teacher by doing my work, helping others when
needed, raising my hand in class, and not yelling out.
Keysha Heney
- I had respect for my parents when I washed the dishes
and could have been playing outside. I did not hurry
up. I dried the dishes and stacked them away.
