Courage

Courage is ...

Telling the truth when it would be easier to lie.
Standing up for what you believe in, even if people laugh at you.
Doing the right thing, even when it is hard.
Facing your fear.
Taking risks for something you believe in.

The following are some thoughts from our class on what courage means to them.

Caring to do something right.
Opportunity to win or fail.
Useful thoughts in your mind.
Rejecting the wrong choices.
Age doesn't matter.
Great citizenship.
Everyday courage can come.

You are showing Courage when you tell someone even if they said I will punch you if you tell.

stood up for a little kid getting picked on by a 10 year old last week.

I showed courage when I had to tell my Mom I failed on one of my tests.

Courage is like a person who stands up for people and stands against them. Courage is like the president. He has to stand up to a lot of people to get his way. Like half the country.

My friend stood up for me when some bully was picking on me.

My friend and I always ran away from this boy. He was mean. He was coming. I said "Ok we either run or go past him." We said, "Go past him." And we did!!
