I try to recognize the accomplishments of my students with award and incentive programs that encourage them to strive to achieve a higher standard for themselves academically as well as in behavior.

Each week we recognize an outstanding student as our Student of the Week. This recognition is based on their hard work, good behavior, and personal effort in class. Each "Student of the Week" receives a certificate in addition to having their nom de' plume placed on our rolls for the year.

Spelling Awards include recognition of our Speller of the Month based on the highest grade in spelling and a Spelling Bee Award which is awarded upon completion of each language unit.

Our Honor Roll recognizes the academic achievement of all students in our class who have have earned either All A's or A's and B's on their report cards for the grading period.

Students who participate in our Accelerated Reader program are recognized for their efforts throughout the year.
